Our Family of Organization
No single organisation speaks for Hong Kong's veterans, and we do not try to. The community here is made up of several bodies, each with its own history, its own membership and its own clubhouse. We work with all of them, so that a veteran who belongs to one belongs to all.

The Royal British Legion (United Kingdom) — the largest Armed Forces charity in the United Kingdom, founded in 1921 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1925. The Hong Kong & China Branch carries the Legion's name and works to its Charter, while operating as a registered charity under Hong Kong law.

Hong Kong Ex-Servicemen's Association (HKESA) — formed in March 1997, three months before the handover, by the amalgamation of four associations representing former locally enlisted personnel. The HKESA represents the men who served in the British Armed Forces here and is the public face of the veteran community in Hong Kong. Its clubhouse is in Cheung Sha Wan, and its annual dinner is the largest event in the veterans' year.

Hoi Luen Society — the Royal Navy veterans' association in Hong Kong, and among the most active in the community. It keeps the Navy's traditions through the year, and its annual dinner brings together some of the most senior veterans in the territory.

World War Two Veterans' Association — the association of Hong Kong's wartime generation. Its clubhouse in Causeway Bay hosts happy hours through the year and houses the Branch's Second World War archive.

Royal Hong Kong Regiment (The Volunteers) Association — successor to the Regiment, disbanded in September 1995. Membership is open to all who served with the Regiment, the Hong Kong Volunteer Defense Corps or the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force, whatever their rank. It holds charitable status and a clubhouse in Happy Valley.

British Gurkha Ex-Servicemen's Association (Hong Kong) — the association of Gurkha veterans settled in Hong Kong, preserving their heritage, advocating for their rights, and providing welfare and community support.
